Project manager


Reports to 

In this role you report to Cornel Simons, our Manager Facility & Smart Building Projects.

The job

Once our sales colleagues come into the office with a signed deal, it’s time for you to work your magic. You are responsible for the coordination of projects in the Netherlands and Belgium. Some projects in the UK and France could also be part of your scope.

You keep a helicopter view over the implementation of our solutions. You monitor requirements and resources carefully. “Proactive communication” is the name of the game. Consequently, you are a master in management of expectations, both internally and externally.

You will work very closely with our implementation consultants located in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. They are known to be clever and quick on their feet. Never a dull moment!

Moreover, you’ve got a knack for recognizing commercial opportunities, which will allow us to build out long term relationships with our customers.

Your responsibilities

  • As project manager you have following responsibilities:

    • You determine the scope of the implementation and plan the work accordingly.
    • You compose a team of skilled consultants and appoint a lead consultant. He or she will be the SPOC for all functional and technical matters.
    • You prepare a kick-off presentation where you seek alignment between all stakeholders.
    • Once the project is in full swing, you monitor time, budget… closely. You plan resources accordingly.
    • You keep track of a logbook of all risks and go over to action in case of large deviations.
    • You inform the steering committee by means of a progress report.
    • You keep your eyes on the prize: successful implementation of the project. As a result you push back where needed, communicate proactively about (potential) issues…
    • At all times, you remain aware not to get into the “nitty-gritty” of the project. You are there to coordinate, not to implement our solutions yourself.
    • You keep an eye on opportunities for cross and upselling.

What we are looking for

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • You are an expert in “all things management”: time management, budget management, people management.
  • You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have a sixth sense when it comes to escalating (potential) issues, both internally and externally, and coming up with inventive solutions.
  • Your colleagues would describe you as stress resistant and great at prioritization, as you would have to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
  • You know how to fend for yourself and your project in a professional way.
  • You are people person: empathetic, great listening skills, team player.
  • Vous êtes parfaitement trilingue. Vous parlez couramment le français and you switch to English in the blink of an eye. Daarnaast heeft ook het Nederlands geen geheimen voor je. Alle drie de talen in woord en geschrift.
  • You live in Belgium.
